Uday Bose is a highly experienced and successful leader in the pharmaceutical industry within the human pharma sector, with over 20 years’ experience spanning General Management, health economics, sales and marketing roles with National (UK/Ireland), Regional (EMEA) and Global accountability. He has significant speciality care experience, including all aspects of commercialisation for early and late stage assets including 15 launches across 6 products.

Since November 2018, Uday has held the position of Country Managing Director and Head of Human Pharma for Boehringer Ingelheim UK & Ireland, with offices in Bracknell and Dublin. BI also has a manufacturing site at Pirbright, which is responsible for the production of animal health vaccines.

Boehringer Ingelheim has a portfolio of human and animal health products in areas of diabetes, respiratory, oncology, cardiovascular and a broad portfolio of animal health products for horses, pigs, cattle and domestic pets. Uday is chair of the Executive Committee and Human Pharma leadership teams, responsible for the organisation of circa. 800 employees and sales of €500m in Human Pharma and Animal Health products.

Prior to 2018, Uday spent 4 years with the Corporate HQ in Ingelheim where he held the position of Corporate Vice President/Head of Global Marketing, Therapeutic Area, Oncology. He has also held senior positions with several other pharmaceutical companies over 20 years.

Uday graduated from Brunel University with degrees in MSc Finance & Investment (1998) and a BSc (Hons) Economics (1997). He obtained his MBA from Keele University in 2006.

In May 2020, Uday was appointed to the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) Board of Management.

He is married with 3 children, and in his spare time enjoys baking and keeping fit.
