Sandra James
Sandra has worked in the NHS for almost 20 years, specialising in public health since 2004. She has a master’s degree in Health Promotion, a master’s degree in Public Health, and has been awarded Membership of the Faculty of Public Health. Before becoming a Specialty Registrar, Sandra specialised in several areas of public health including child and maternal health, screening and immunisation, healthy weight, sexual health, and public health commissioning. Sandra is currently based at Public Health England, where she is supporting regional and national work to improve population health and wellbeing. Her focus for the past 12 months has been on the integration of public health and prevention within the emergency services, and on the prevention of suicide in the ambulance service.
