Having close family and friends who’ve suffered from mental illness and dementia, Richard experienced first-hand the challenge of accessing support for both those affected by the illness and the families involved. In 2013, he founded Healios to transform the way mental health care is delivered through technology; helping people with mental illness or neurodevelopmental conditions, families and carers effectively move forward and achieve their goals - providing a better quality of life. His passion for combining overall wellbeing, science and technology has led him to develop world-leading innovative services that fit around the lifestyles and circumstance of the whole family - improving lives by bringing exceptional healthcare easily to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Richard is a healthcare advisor to The Economist and has been the recipient of ‘Best UK Mental Health Executive Award’ and ‘Excellence Award for Suicide Prevention Initiatives’.
