Fiona is the newly elected Chair of the Primary Care Federation Network in NHS Confederation. She has played a vital role in the networks launch in recent months. This network has been developed to recognise the valuable role that Federations play in their local systems and to provide a
national voice to influence on their behalf.
Fiona joined the Hartlepool & Stockton Health GP Federation at the end of 2015 to deliver their first large project – and enjoyed it so much that she never left! She became CEO in 2017 after helping to launch an Integrated Urgent Care Service and also 7Day access to general practice.
Her background is in leadership roles in commercial and retail banking across England, before leaving the rat race and setting up a consultancy business back up North. She is the Chair of the Tees Valley Primary Care Training Hub Board, and has a particular interest in engagement, people development and workforce.
