Dr Ayesha Rahim
Dr Ayesha Rahim is psychiatrist, Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) and Deputy Medical Director in the north-west of England, and has worked in the NHS for over 17 years.
In her role as CCIO she is responsible for leading the Clinical Informatics team, delivering digital transformation, and developing digital strategies to support the delivery of high quality care for patients.
Ayesha is also passionate about encouraging clinicians from all disciplines to consider careers in health tech, particularly in under-represented professions. She is also a founding member of the Shuri Network (www.shurinetwork.com), a grassroots organisation which supports BAME women working in digital health. She is a member of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics, and is a graduate of the first cohort of the NHS Digital Academy.
