Tuesday 9th April 2019
The first ever Primary Care Zone will be launched at Confed19.
It will be delivered by the NHS Confederation’s primary care provider network, the National Association of Primary Care (NAPC).
As the NHS Long Term Plan looks to break down the divide between primary, community and acute health services, the new zone is an excellent opportunity to discuss future working together across the sectors and learn from colleagues who’ve successfully embedded integrated care.
It will explore how to build collaboration with the focus on improving population health, discuss and provide practical examples on partnerships and integration and examine how workforce should be built around the healthcare services needed for the local population.
John Pope, the NAPC’s Chief Executive Officer, said: ‘We are excited as partners of the NHS Confederation to bring the Primary Care Zone to Confed19.
‘Join us to hear from key figures across all sectors who are leading and championing collaboration around the needs of whole populations, including the NAPC’s primary care homes, which are established primary care networks and pioneering examples of integrated, team-based working. There will be plenty of learning and practical examples on partnership and integration from across the country.’
The zone will have drop-in clinics at lunchtime where you can ask the experts from the NAPC, Centene UK and Capsticks on how to take integration forward and discuss the challenges ahead. Centene UK will also be leading sessions on integrated care in practice and international learning.
It is important to have representation from across the whole health and social care sector which is why there is a new discounted rate for primary care organisations. For £149+VAT primary care delegates will have access to the Confed19 exhibition floor and primary care zone.
If you would like full access to the Confed19 programme, you will be able to register with the discounted NHS Confederation member rate.
Further information about this can be found on the primary care zone webpage.
The Primary Care Zone sponsors are Centene UK and Capsticks.
