3.3 Primary Care Networks – how partnership working can secure the future of primary care in England

20th June, 9:15-10:15am  |  Charter 1

Chair: Dr Graham Jackson, Co-chair, NHS Clinical Commissioners.

July 2019 sees the deadline for the whole of England to be covered by Primary Care Networks – so this session would be a timely opportunity to assess progress so far. Commissioners, in close partnership with GP practices and other providers, have already been putting into practice some form of primary care at scale, but the new GP contract (released earlier this year) outlined in more detail how Primary Care Networks were going to operate.

This will be a chance to explore the progress made in establishing PCNs, what challenges continue and how all those with an interest in their development, can work together to ensure they deliver on the vision set out in the Long Term Plan.
