Data saves lives: reshaping health and social care with data
When facing the greatest public health emergency that this country has tackled for generations, one of the most powerful tools at our disposal was the power of data.
It helped to identify those who are most vulnerable to coronavirus and ask them to shield, it informed the day-to-day response (data not dates) and it powered vital research that helped discover new treatments that saved lives across the world.
So, we cannot slow down or pause for breath when the opportunities are so vast, and the momentum is so great.
In this session, a panel will reflect on the COVID-19 response and discuss the benefits they want to lock-in to transform how health and care data is used for individuals, staff, decision-makers, researchers, developers and innovators.
This session forms part of the Digital theme that is supported by NHS Digital.
