CQC’s role in the future of systems and collaboration

17 Jun 2021
B - Breakout stage 1
System integration and collaboration

How can we use regulation to drive improvement in systems?

Within the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we want to improve people’s care by looking at how well health and care services work together as a local system. We know that it’s not enough to look at one service in isolation, it's how systems work together that matters most to how people experience care, and we will continue to drive our work in this area forward through our strategy that is due to be published by June.

As part of this session we will touch upon our work in provider collaboration reviews, DNACPR and the white paper. We will draw from our evidence base, different experiences and share what we have been told throughout these reviews on how systems have worked well together through the pandemic, as well as providing an overview on how we think we can use regulation to drive improvement.

This session forms part of the System Integration & Collaboration theme, which is sponsored by Novartis Pharmaceuticals UK.
